This area is to create packages of products for inventory control purposes.

Product Properties
This is where you control where this product will show up in your system, and other properties like taxes and shipping.
Customer means this product will show for a customer signup.
If you want to know more about this option, let us know. If you have it and want this product to show on that customer only site, check the box.
Prospect is someone who comes to a replicated site but is not a member yet. So someone who just wants to buy product would potentially see only the retail price in the shopping cart. Check this box if you want this product to be seen by Non Members or those wanting to become members.
Things like sales aids, or upgrade packages would probably not want to be shown in the Prospect area, so those types of things would not have this box checked.
Distributor means only people who have enrolled will see it. This means it will only show in the product order area inside the members area login.
Sales aids etc. would want to have this checked for sure, as well as pretty much all products in your system. If you had any special customer only special pricing deals or only non members products you would uncheck this box.
Signup package means it will be "showcased" during the signup process without the prospect having to go find it in the shopping cart. An excellent way to funnel new members to purchase the products you most want them to experience.
Mandatory Signup Package - If you want the item to be a mandatory purchase when signing up, check the mandatory signup package, this would be for mandatory distributor kits etc.
Override Mandatory Signup Package - If there is a mandatory package on signup (i.e - signup fee). Override Mandatory Signup Package will replace this if it is purchased on signup.
Signup Autoship is the same, if you want to showcase this product in the signup process for autoship check it, if u want it to just exist in the shopping cart to be found on their own during signup do not check it.
The concept is, many MLM's have tons of products but they try to push certain ones for autoship
This keeps the signup process easier and pushing such favored products a snap
Autoship means you can make the product show up in the autoship section or not. You could have it as an autoship product, but not a signup autoship product meaning it wouldn't get showcased, but would still be available for the member to add to autoship.
Charge Tax1 and Charge Tax2 are pretty explanatory, if u want to charge taxes as per the tax tables you would check these. If a product is tax exempt, you would not check it.
Commissionable To make the product commissionable check commissionable
3rd party is if u want this product to end up in order splitting. Most clients do not use this feature. If you would like to know more please contact us. It is a function that allows for a single order to get split so some of the order will go into your payment area, and some can go to a third party processor or partner.
This concept allows you to showcase another company products, or have an affinity type program where they purchase some products from their points, and the rest with real money.
Any orders placed with the 3rd party enabled would show up in a special access area for that third party to process the orders from.
